On the 24th July 2024 the School Council Team at Whitehorse Manor Juniors have formed a ‘Well-being Committee’. Part of their training included qualifying as Peer Mediators – a child-friendly conflict resolution programme aimed to support children to notice others who may need help or encouragement to play games with others as well as help resolve minor playground incidents.
Not only have School Council been able to start using their training in their own playground but are hoping to expand the service to include the Infant School too. The photos below are our Peer Mediators addressing the whole Infants School about their training and how they can be of help to children in the playground.
