It’s been a busy Book Week here at Whitehorse Infants, kicking off the week with dressing up as our favourite book characters.
Dear Pegasus families, During a wonderful week of books we would like to share with you some of our Recommended Reads!
This week reception held a Mastering Number workshop where we invited all of the grown-ups to attend a short interactive session, to support the children’s learning in maths.Â
Year 2 had a great time this week visiting London as part of their Thematic Topic.
It was lovely to see so many parents attend the reading for pleasure workshop and ‘read with your child’ session.Â
In reception our topic this half term is ‘People Who Help Us’ and this week, reception got the exciting opportunity to have a visit from the local fire brigade!
The School Council is the voice of the children at Whitehorse Manor Infant School.
As many of you will know, at Pegasus we organise the teaching of history, geography, DT and art within themes under the umbrella term of the ‘Thematic Curriculum’.Â
Over the past few weeks, reception have been preparing for our very exciting ‘Museum Day’!
Whitehorse Infants have been working with the Children’s Book Project to provide free books for children to take home.Â
Today – Tuesday, 6 February 2024 – is Safer Internet Day.
Year 2 were fortunate to visit Croydon Mosque and Islamic Centre to support their learning in RE about Islam.

The last two weeks in nursery we have been continuing with our theme of traditional tales and have been reading the story ‘The Three Little Pigs.’
