Reception: On the buses!
This week children in Reception have been sharing the story ‘Naughty Bus’.
We are looking to appoint newly qualified and experienced teachers across The Pegasus Academy Trust.

This week children in Reception have been sharing the story ‘Naughty Bus’.
Since coming back from half term we have been busy doing lots of learning in nursery.
We have been learning about the Italian artist, Guiseppe Arcimboldo, who created portraits using natural materials such as fruits, vegetables, leaves and foliage.
Year 2 ended Autumn 1 with a visit to Hampton Court Palace.
Year 2 have loved their DT project all about muffins. In science we have been learning about eating a balanced diet and thought that by adding fruit or vegetables to our muffins they would become more balanced.
Over the last 2 weeks in Gold class we have been reading the story ‘Peace at Last’ by Jill Murphy.
We had two fabulous Harvest assemblies this week! Well done to the year 1 and 2 children who sang so beautifully in their Harvest assemblies.
Whitehorse Infants would like to introduce this year’s Eco Friends! They have made a great start by completing an Environmental Review of the school to look at what areas we are doing well in and what areas we can improve.
On the 24th July 2024 the School Council Team at Whitehorse Manor Juniors have formed a ‘Well-being Committee’.
It was lovely to see lots of the Reception parents attend the Mastering Number maths workshop this morning.
Over the last two weeks in Gold class we have been reading the story ‘Owl Babies.’
Thank you to all the parents who made raffle donations, cake donations and monetary donations.
Year 2 are learning about animals including humans in science. Over the past few weeks they have been learning about the different food groups and how we need to eat food from each of the food groups in order for our bodies to grow strong and healthy.
It has been an exciting week in Gold class with all the children showing great bravery during their first few days at nursery.
This week year 2 had a visit from Nabhi who engaged us in a wonderful workshop about the Hindu festival Diwali.
