Parents and carers will have become aware of the current issue with some schools in the UK that have buildings made of RAAC – Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete. 

This term we had another successful trip to the beach with year 2. 

Year 2’s final DT project of the year has been ‘Puppets’.

Ahoy there landlubbers! Year 2 had a wonderful Pirates Day on Friday.

The sun shone and the rain stayed away for Year 2 as they spent the day at Broadstairs Beach on Tuesday. 

This week we took part in our annual sports day event!

This week in Whole Class Reading we have been reading Too Small Tola by Atinuke.

Year 2 have been exploring habitats as part of their science topic.

This week reception had lots of fun visiting Crystal Palace Park Farm!

This week we have been learning about The Very Hungry Caterpillar. 

This week in Reception we were fortunate enough to have a very exciting visit from ‘Zoo Lab’!

We have been continuing with our transport theme and have read the books ‘The Big Red Bus’ and ‘The Train Ride’.

Over the past few weeks Year 2 have enjoyed learning about plants in science and considering the conditions a seed needs to germinate and grow into a healthy plant.
