Year 3 Dive into the Ocean
In Year 3, we have been studying the book ‘Jemmy Button’ by Jennifer Uman and Valerio Vidali.
We are looking to appoint newly qualified and experienced teachers across The Pegasus Academy Trust.

This week I have seen lots of lovely examples of children’s writing.
Today, a very special visitor came to Brigstock to deliver some presents…Father Christmas!
Thank you to Marta and Morad, our school chefs, for an excellent Christmas feast.
Recently, year 3 have been studying Aesop’s fables. We have discussed the features of a fables and what makes them different from fairy tales as well as learning about what a moral is and how the fables convey these morals.
Yesterday, children enjoyed playing in the snow. Snowmen were made, snowballs were thrown and fun was had by all!
This term junior children at Whitehorse will get to take home a free book donated by the Children’s Book Project.
You may be aware from the media that the UK is seeing a high number of Group A strep cases this year.
This term, children were excited to receive their Mini London Marathon badges.
We are very excited to tell you that WHJUN have been donated over 800 books (by the Children’s Book Project) to share with the children.
Last week, Miss Vadia asked staff to share with the children the funniest places they have been caught reading!
Today, the children in Ash class enjoyed a Tudor Day! They had a busy day that involved welcoming and interviewing a King, performing, dressing up and creating their own Tudor portraits.
Thank you to all the parents, carers and children who attended the initial meeting about the Year 6 residential trip 2022-23 last night.
The Year 6 team are very excited to announce that this academic year’s residential trip for Year 6 has been finalised!
What a great week it’s been in school! We’ve enjoyed odd sock day to celebrate uniqueness, had a Pudsey Bear hunt and biscuit sale for charity and generally enjoyed basking in the warm and friendly atmosphere that’s been promoted through discussions around being a good friend and showing we care.
