Year 6 SATs Meeting

It’s a long day (and night) but I have to thank Mrs Ehiemua, Mrs Chang, Miss Williams and Mrs Fitz-Gerald (and parent helpers) for getting the Whitehorse Junior Choir to and from the O2 for Young Voices 2024.
The snow is melting, flowers are blooming, and the days are getting warmer.
Two years ago junior children from Whitehorse Manor-Brigstock site and Eccelsbourne took part in the Green Project at Bensham allotments.
Year 6 recently visited the Natural History Museum to develop their knowledge of their science topic ‘Evolution and Inheritance.’
This week, the year 3 children from Brigstock, Whitehorse Manor Junior and Ecclesbourne schools went on a trip to the Crystal Palace park.
We are fully in the swing of Christmas here at Brigstock!
Last week, as part of our RE learning about Hinduism, Year 4 visited the Sakthy Ghanapathy Temple in Thornton Heath.
Our Trust Staff Meeting at Cypress on Handwriting in the Early Years, for our Early Years and Year 1 practitioners, was a fantastic opportunity for the adults to have some fun, as well as learning some important pedagogy and practical ideas to teach this crucial life skill.

To culminate the end of our science topic, Evolution and Inheritance, Year 6 have spent a fantastic day at the Natural History Museum!
Year 3 have been really enjoying learning about dinosaurs in reading, literacy and thematic.
Wow, what a lovely week we have had at Brigstock. The children have been busily working on their BHM art work, in preparation for Mrs Stephenson-Tye’s display.
