It was lovely to see so many parents attend the reading for pleasure workshop and ‘read with your child’ session. We hope that the workshop helped to support parents with their understanding of how reading and phonics is being taught in school. The model videos and support documents shared will be shared to all parents via studybugs-please look out for these. Promoting children’s love of reading is at the heart of our school’s reading ethos. The children love the opportunity to read with parents in school and the excitment that feeds back from these sessions helps to promote books and reading across the school. Thank you to all those parents and carers who attended. Don’t worry it you missed the session we will have another session next half term.
