We have had a truly magnificent start to Book Week here at Cypress Upper!
Our World Book Week celebrations have begun and what a way to kick start the week- a visit from Nathan Bryon and Dapo Adeola.
This morning Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 were treated to a fantastic assembly led by the poet James Carter.
We had a very exciting launch to Book Week at Beulah today.
Poet, Neal Zetter, gave us a fantastic start to our Poetry focused Book Week this morning.
Year 6 have been fully immersed in the world of urban dancing.
For the last six weeks, Year 6 have been reading ‘The Red Pyramid,’ by Rick Riordan, an exciting story which begins its adventure in the British Museum.
Today, Year 3 have been experiencing a Caveman day, where they learned all about life in the Stone Age.
On Monday, Year 5 at Ecclesbourne were joined by Brigstock for a visit from a Viking storyteller.
This Thursday saw Year 3 start their new thematic topic in the best way possible – by dressing up and experiencing prehistory first hand.
As you know, the Cypress Upper school council have decided that they would like to purchase some plants for each of the classrooms, to promote well-being and encourage responsibility.
We have returned from our holidays full of vim, vigour and determination.
Our final week of last half term was spent reading The Little Red Hen.
Welcome back! We hope that everyone had a lovely half term and it’s been great to see all of our children return to school so enthusiastically this week.
