CYP LOWER – Diwali and Halloween in Little Cypress
Halloween and Diwali It has been a short but busy week back in Little Cypress!

Halloween and Diwali It has been a short but busy week back in Little Cypress!
Recently, Year 6 have been learning about the impact the famous suffragist ‘Emmeline Pankhurst’ had in helping women win equal voting rights to men in the UK.
Year 2 ended Autumn 1 with a visit to Hampton Court Palace.
This week in Reception, we have been busy finishing their first topic, ‘Marvellous Me!’.
This week in Nursery, we have been reading and singing the book ‘If You’re Happy and You Know It’ by Anna McQuinn.
This week we have been singing the song ‘If you’re happy and you know it.’
Black History Week at Cypress This week we have celebrating Black History Week across both sites and studying the book ‘Change Sings’ by Amanda Gorman.
This week, Beulah has been buzzing with Black History and the catchiest song ever written.
Autumn 1 – Done! It doesn’t seem possible that we have completed our first half term with our Rainbow and Nursery children!
Our Black History Month celebration is always such a positive way to end the term.
It has been a very busy half term and the time has flown since we started back in September.
It was lovely to see so many of our nursery parents and carers join us this week for our first reading café at Little Ecclesbourne this year.
This week Year 3 has the amazing opportunity to visit Crystal Palace Park as part of our Thematic curriculum!
Beulah celebrated all things about poetry during National Poetry Week. The theme this year was ‘Counting’.
The children have been talking and learning about owls in Gold class.
