There has been some great learning at Atwood this week. The children in Early Years have been exploring Monsters and learning about the Three Little Pigs.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

This week at Cypress, we have seen so many children working hard and making big steps in their learning.
For the past two weeks we have immersed ourselves in the story of ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson.
Chinese New Year It’s been a colourful and exciting week in Little Cypress!
There has been a lot of creative and physical development occurring in the early years this week.
It has been a very exciting first two weeks of the Spring term in Gold class.
Little Ecclesbourne children have been chasing the Gingerbread Man in and out of their classroom.
Year 6 Join the Young Voices Choir at the O2 The children in Year 6 have been working hard over the last few months to be ready to take part in Young Voices, the largest children’s choir concert in the world!
There was light at the end of the topic! Year 4 completed their electricity unit by working collaboratively to create a night light based on their reading text ‘The Barnabus project’.
As ever, It has been a busy week at Atwood. The children in Early Years have been exploring in the cold weather.
Our Year 1 classes had a fantastic day today, learning all about toys from the past.
On Monday, the Ecclesbourne choir performed at the Young Voices event at the O2 arena as part of ‘the largest school choir in concert the world’.

What a fun filled day reception had on Monday! We were fortunate enough to have a special visit from Professor Bubble Works who helped us make slime!
A return to the frosty weather has meant more ice exploration in the Early Years, and lots of moving around to keep warm whilst outside!
