Cypress Primary School – Welcome back!
Welcome back! There are so many exciting events, trips, performances and celebrations happening this half term.
We are looking to appoint newly qualified and experienced teachers across The Pegasus Academy Trust.

This week in Reception we were fortunate enough to have a very exciting visit from ‘Zoo Lab’!
As a result of our collaboration with the P.I.G. charity and their allotment project, some of our Year 6 pupils were lucky enough to go and visit Mrs Burney’s Bees in Frylands Wood this week.
All of the children in year one and year two had great fun on their individual sports days, even though the sun failed to arrive!
On Monday five eggs arrived at Atwood’s Reception classes. The children were not told about what was in the egg, but after researching animals that do lay eggs, the children made their prediction of what they thought would hatch out.
The sun came out for our walk, ride or scoot to school week.
This week in Reception our topic book has been ‘Journey’ by Aaron Becker.
Mr Veale’s welcome Tennis News On Wednesday 24th May Atwood took part in the Croydon Schools Tennis Finals.
We are pleased to be enjoying the sunshine this week, just in time for our May half term break.
Fruit Salad What a healthy and fun-packed week we have had in Little Cypress, to draw this half-term to a close!
On this beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, it was a pleasure to see so many of our pupils making the most of the weather to enjoy learning outdoors in the sunshine.
We have been learning about Africa and it’s culture this term.
Tents and Tubes during lunchtime play With the warmer weather, we have brought out the canvas once again.
Year 3 solve the riddle of the missing Mammoth! Our Year 3 children received a message last week to say that a mother mammoth had lost her baby and the children needed to find the clues to find it!
Our Year 1 classes had a great day on Monday at the Horniman museum.
