We are so proud of how our youngest children in Rainbows, Nursery and Reception have been settling into their new classes.
It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that our lovely Teaching Assistant, Sharon Thomas, sadly died during the summer holidays.
This week, Year 6 have been on a fantastic adventure. They set off on Monday to Stubbers Adventure Centre for a week of activities and fun.
It has been another busy week at Atwood. After the corridors being empty last week, it is great to walk through the Early Years and hear the chatter and buzz of children in the classrooms.
One of our Year 3 pupils was busy through the summer on an inspiring fundraising mission.
It was lovely to welcome our pupils back last week in blazing sunshine and I’d like to extend a huge welcome to our new Year 3 classes, who have already been demonstrating great learning behaviours in their first week with us.
A huge welcome back to all of our children and families, and a special welcome to our new starters.
Our new Reception children have made a fantastic start to the school year and are wasting no time getting stuck in exploring their environment.
It’s been a fabulous (and incredibly hot!) week at Cypress as we’ve welcomed back children in Years 1 to 6.
Welcome back! What a lovely week to start the term and my time at Atwood.
Parents and carers will have become aware of the current issue with some schools in the UK that have buildings made of RAAC – Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete.
Last Thursday our Year 2 classes performed their Leavers’ Assembly to Reception, Year 1 and their past teachers in the morning.
This term we had another successful trip to the beach with year 2.
It was a real pleasure to watch Ms Hall’s send off from Brigstock today.
