This week in Reception, we have been learning about so many different things.
Autumnal Learning This time of year offers up a plethora of learning opportunities with all the changes in nature, as well as special events such as Diwali, Halloween, Bonfire Night and Remembrance.
Despite the colder weather, Little Ecclesbourne children love nothing more than learning outside.
We had a wonderful start to the day at Cypress Lower today.
We have been learning about the Italian artist, Guiseppe Arcimboldo, who created portraits using natural materials such as fruits, vegetables, leaves and foliage.
Today, in assembly our school councillors treated us to a very special Harvest Festival assembly.

Recently, Year 6 have been learning about the impact the famous suffragist ‘Emmeline Pankhurst’ had in helping women win equal voting rights to men in the UK.
Year 2 ended Autumn 1 with a visit to Hampton Court Palace.
This week in Reception, we have been busy finishing their first topic, ‘Marvellous Me!’.

This week, Beulah has been buzzing with Black History and the catchiest song ever written.
Black History Week at Cypress This week we have celebrating Black History Week across both sites and studying the book ‘Change Sings’ by Amanda Gorman.
