ATW Reception news – Bees and growing food
This week in Reception, the children have been learning all about bees.
We are looking to appoint newly qualified and experienced teachers across The Pegasus Academy Trust.

This week in Reception, the children have been learning all about bees.
Following on from last week, in Nursery we are still exploring the book ‘Commotion in the Ocean.’
On Monday, Atwood hosted a six team, seven a side football tournament for local schools.
Thank you to everyone who supported Thursday’s Fundraising event. It was a huge success and lovely to see so many people attend.
Today we joined Lilac class in reminiscing about their time at Beulah Infant school.
After reading the book ‘Mama Panya’s Pancakes’ we designed our own pancakes using our favourite fruits from our tasting session.
Yesterday afternoon, Year 2 wowed us with their amazing Leavers’ Assembly.
Last week, reception got to go on a mini adventure to Crystal Palace Park Farm and what a fantastic day we all had!
This week, Year 6 put on two stunning performances of their end of year production ‘The Jungle Book’.
It has been a very hectic week as we try to squeeze in everything before the end of the term.
It has been another busy week at Cypress with everyone working hard and learning new things.
On 4th July, Year 2 had their seaside trip to Broadstairs beach.
This week in Reception, the children have learned about worms. They now know that worms belong to the classification of animals called invertebrates as they have no backbone.
Looking forwards… The weeks are galloping on as we enter our final weeks before the holidays.
Year 3 had the fantastic opportunity to visit the London Wetlands Centre this week!
