For the past two weeks we have immersed ourselves in the story of ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson. It is one of our favourite stories and we have loved describing what the Gruffalo looks like and acting out the story. We have made him using a variety of resources making sure we remembered everything from the story, especially those orange eyes! We have also enjoyed building a den in the outdoor area and we also used our imaginations when pretending to marshmallows, as you would in the woods. In Orange class you can even sit down and taste some of the food from the story in their Gruffalo restaurant. You can have such delicacies as ‘scrambled snake’ and ‘owl ice cream’! Do they sound like a good afternoon snack to you?
