This week reception have been looking at the story ‘Clean Up’ by the author Nathan Bryon. In the story, Rocket and her family realise how much plastic pollution is spoiling the beaches and endangering sea animals so they put together their own ‘clean up crew’ to clean the beach! We thought this was a fantastic way we could work together to keep our school and the wider community clean! We had lots of fun engaging in small world activities such as sorting out used items into paper and plastic and some of us made posters to display around our classroom to remind us to throw our rubbish in the bin. We also spoke about how important it is to recycle and reuse items more than once and how we can keep our planet clean by reducing the amount of waste we create. What could you do to keep our community clean?
