Last week, our children came into school wearing their finest party clothes in order to raise money for others. The School Council had asked each of their classes to take a vote about how they would like to raise money for Red Nose Day and this was the most popular idea across the school.
Mrs Quick held an assembly and told us that the money we raised would go towards helping lots of people both in the UK and in other countries around the world. She told us that in some countries, they might not have a teacher in a school, so the money might go towards paying for that teacher. Or it might help a family who don’t have much money and need help with buying food or somewhere to live.
We loved dressing up for the day and felt very special in our party clothes. One child said ‘I love wearing my party dress to school and I am excited to help other children at the same time! Thank you to all of the families that were able to take part and give to this worthy cause. Our final total was a fantastic £123.00!
