Today, we celebrated our Harvest Assembly with many of our parents. We learnt that Harvest celebrations are held in the autumn and they began in churches when Christians would thank God for all the food he had provided. A big thank you to our generous parents that were able to make donations of food and toiletries, we were overwhelmed with your generosity. Everything that has been donated will be given to Croydon Nightwatch who will distribute them to families and individuals that in desperate need of help in our community. We really enjoyed finding out how some foods and grains are harvested by farmers and how they are then made into things like bread and cereal. But best of all, we all enjoyed signing our Harvest songs and we sounded wonderful!
