On Tuesday, we had another very successful parent coffee morning. This time we invited Barbara Allen from our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to come in and explain to our parents/carers what support they offer. The parents/carers were very pleased to hear that the support includes:
- Managing behaviour
- Emotional wellbeing
- Managing Anxiety
- Online parent workshops
- Counselling for children
- Parent/carer support
The parent/carers found the meeting very informative and have asked for a regular MHST ‘surgery’ to be held at the school. Barbara has agreed that they will provide a regular surgery so watch out for the next date or contact the team directly at MHST@croydondropin.org.uk
We are always keen to support our parents/carers and we feel that coffee mornings are an ideal way to meet other parents/carers. If you can support Beulah coffee mornings by helping out for an hour once a month or have an idea that you think would be a good theme for a coffee morning, please let Mrs Butler or the office know. The School Council have reported that many of our children have asked for one special breakfast coffee morning where they can come with their parents – we would love to offer this early in the new year but will need your help!
