News Cypress Primary School

Gingerbread Men  We had a wonderful time last week in Little Cypress, getting our crafts ready for our Christmas hoops that go up in the hall next week!

It has been another hectic week at the Upper School.   We began Friendship week with the assembly theme, “How can I make a positive difference in our school community?” 

Year Three wrapped up their fascinating study of Victorian life with a special treat—an afternoon tea!

This week, the school council and house captains set off on an unforgettable adventure to the Houses of Parliament, and what a day it was!

Year 4 had a fantastic session with the school’s head chef, Morad, who gave them a lively reminder about the Eatwell Plate and introduced them to the importance of using their senses when exploring food.

Red for Remembrance  What a poignant and thought provoking week we have had in Little Cypress!

This week has been a very busy week at Cypress with lots of different events taking place.

On Tuesday, Armistice Day, the House Captains delivered a very emotive and personal assembly at the Upper School.

Our Year 1 classes had a fabulous time today on their Moon immersion day.

We began our Remembrance Day at Cypress Lower with a wonderful class assembly from Turquoise Class. 

Welcome Back! It has been lovely to see the children come back to school so confidently for the second part of the Autumn Term.

We have all had a lovely first week back after the half term break.

  This week we have been learning about Autumn at the Lower School. 

Happy Diwali This week, we have carried on learning all about the Hindu Festival of Lights, Diwali. 

On Monday, our Year 6 children had an exciting trip to the Natural History Museum in London.
