The Eco Friends walked to Heaver’s Meadow last half term to undertake a successful community litter pick. They wore protective gloves and used litter pickers to collect six bags of rubbish! They found all sorts of litter, from sweet wrappers to an old jumper! Several members of the public stopped our group to say a big well done for picking up the rubbish, and we all felt a sense of pride and achievement knowing that we had cleared that much rubbish from the local environment. Plenty of animals and people enjoy the meadow and it is great to know that we have helped to clean it up for them so that they can continue to enjoy the area.
