Indigo and Lilac Classes set off on Tuesday to become habitat explorers at Morden Hall Park. Despite the miserable weather, the rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. We began by exploring the woodland habitat. Under logs we found slugs, snails, worms, beetles, spiders, woodlice and more. Following that we dipped our nets into the River Wandle to discover the invertebrates that live in the water. This trip was excellent fieldwork for our science topic ‘Living Things and their habitats’. Purple Class are looking forward to visiting in June.
