This week reception have been reading the story ‘Bog Baby’ by the author Jeanne Willis. At the beginning of the week the children made predictions of what they thought Bog Baby looked like before seeing a picture of him. This included drawing a picture or making their own Bog Baby out of playdough and other craft resources. Once they saw a picture of him they were all completely in awe of how cute he was! They had a go at painting Bog Baby and a beautiful woodlands scene from the story. We have some fantastic artists here in Reception! The children also discussed in talk partners what they liked about Bog Baby and a popular answer was that he sucks his toes!
