A busy week again at Atwood. In Reception, the children have been busy learning about being a resilient learner and developing their writing skills.
On Wednesday 13th November, the children and staff at Whitehorse Manor Junior School celebrated the meaning of RESPECT for our individuality and expressed this through wearing ‘odd socks’.
It was simply delightful to meet the newly elected members of year 6 School Council 24-25.
On the 24th July 2024 the School Council Team at Whitehorse Manor Juniors have formed a ‘Well-being Committee’.
In Reception and Nursery, the children have been busy exploring the environment and learning some sounds as they begin their reading journey.
The children in Year 5 have been exploring different graffiti artists including Stik, Banksy and El Seed.
We have had a bumper sporting week this week culminating on Thursday’s sports day.
Fantastic learning opportunities for Year 5 Children from Year 5 visited Riddlesdown Collegiate to take part in a STEM day.
Year 5’s recent trip to the Tower of London, part of our thematic topic on Crime and Punishment, was an unforgettable adventure into history.
The inaugural Pegasus Trust Games has taken place with Ecclesbourne crowned champions.

We had an incredible Science Week filled with exciting investigations across all year groups.
During their visit to the Science Museum, Year 5 students had an unforgettable experience.
Monday 22nd April was Earth Day and the Eco -Squad had a very important message to share!
