Year 6 recently visited the Natural History Museum to develop their knowledge of their science topic ‘Evolution and Inheritance.’ Having made their own salt dough fossils at school based on the fossil records of whales, horse feet and chicken, the children were excited to see the real specimens on display at the museum. At the museum, we were all fascinated by the ancient DNA of Cheddar Man, entertained by the moving dinosaur display and in awe of the 25m long blue whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling!
