The Whitehorse Football Team have been busy this half-term under the watchful eyes of Mr Bloomfield, Mr Anderson and Ms Marshall. The first match of the season took place on 29th November at home against Robert Fitzroy Academy. The team didn’t do well against Robert Fitzroy last season, so this was a bit of a grudge match for the team. Ably captained by Obed Bulley, they triumphed with a 3-2 win, which came as a shock to the opposition, with goals by Josiah James, Karamoko Kamara and Khaleef-Nasim Ennis-Rochester. Man of the match was Obed, whose hard work and commitment helped the team secure victory. The second match of the season was on 4th December, at home, against South Norwood. The team was captained by Karamoko Kamara, winning the match 4 – 2. Goals were scored by Karamoko Kamara and Khaleef-Nasim Ennis-Rochester, with a stunning double by Xander Maule. Man of the Match was the captain, Karamoko, who led by example and contributed to the win, with a special mention given to Xander who is the team’s youngest and smallest player, but certainly gives the opposition something to think about on the pitch. The next game is away to Heavers Farm, where a win will put Whitehorse top of their group. Here’s hoping their winning streak continues
