The Whitehorse Year 5 and 6 Indoor Athletics Team competed against other schools in Croydon at a qualifying event today. The competition was extremely fierce and we are delighted to have been placed second out of eight schools, which means that we have qualified for the finals event in January.
Highlights of the competition include: Sameera and Ja’nnay’s determination to run the challenging 6 lap relay, Ashraf’s endless energy despite running four races, Jonas and Santrell’s victory in their joint relay, and of course, the sportsmanship displayed by every single child on the team.
