Last week, our young gardeners worked really hard to clear the rainwater from the holes that had previously been dug and prepared the area for planting. They then planted two apple trees and two plum trees.
We were then lucky enough to have a tree planting ceremony, in which Ms Achenbach, Miss Tye and Mr Gadd were invited too. Each of the children gave a little speech and Ms Achenbach declared the orchard open. We celebrated with our very own glass of apple juice and some fruit.
We are very much looking forward to watching the trees grow and being able to use the apples and plums in school.
