What a way to end the week- a celebration for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!
Today, children and staff came dressed in the colours of the Union Jack-Red, White and Blue. Each class took part in a fun-filled art activity based on the Queen. We had everything from sketching, painting with marbles, tissue paper collage and decorating bunting and flags.
At lunchtime, the celebrations continued in the sunshine. We had a whole school picnic and danced the afternoon away with Mr Gadd as our resident DJ (even the staff couldn’t resist dancing to Candy and the Cha Cha Slide). The school kitchen staff created a lovely lunch menu- pizza slices, sausage rolls, sandwiches, fruit, jelly and ice cream. What a feast!
We have all had a thoroughly enjoyable day.
