Today at WHJUN we brought back the Reading Breakfast! (it had been a little while). Today it was set up for Year 3 and Year 4 children and parents.
WOW WOW WOW!! I couldn’t believe the number of parents and family members that had turned up to read with their child and enjoy Reading for pleasure. It was so lovely to see both adults and children engrossed in a book and enjoying quality time together, sharing a story (not to forget a nice cup of tea and a biscuit or 2).
The children were over the moon and very excited to see their grown up arrive and spend 1-1 time reading, discussing the book and looking at the quality pictures in the text. I think many of the adults enjoyed it too.
It was such a success and we would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of the parents and family members that attended today.
Please keep your eyes peeled for the next Year 3 and Year 4 Reading Breakfast. We hope to see you again at the next one.
