This week, Year 2 at Cypress Primary visited London and walked a grand total of 13,000 steps! We walked to Norwood Junction and caught the train to London Bridge station. Then we walked over London Bridge, spotting famous London landmarks such as Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral. Next we found The Monument, tucked away at the end of Pudding Lane where the Great Fire of London started way back in 1666. We then visited the beautiful St Dunstan’s in the East church before finally reaching The Garden at 120 for lunch and stunning panoramic views of London.
Antonio said, “ I counted 54 buses between London Bridge Station and The Monument.
Abdur said, “Let’s have lunch in the Sky Garden.”
It is more than fair to say that Violet class had the best weather. Turquoise and Ruby class powered through the rain to see the sights. Their smiles never dropped thanks to the excellent work of our teachers and the amazing support of our parent volunteers.
We hope next year that the weather is better.
