Yesterday afternoon, Year 2 wowed us with their amazing Leavers’ Assembly. The hall was packed with parents and carers waiting to see the children perform. It was lovely to see all the children dressed to show what they would like to be when they grow up. They have some amazing ambitions. We enjoyed hearing about all their memories from Year 2. Many of them seemed to involve getting wet or burying each other in the sand at Broadstairs. It was lovely to hear so many children speak about their love of different subjects and learning and how much they have enjoyed their time with their teachers. The children also sang three songs ‘Count on Me’, When I Grow Up’ and ‘Reach’. They sang with real enthusiasm and had included some fantastic dance moves. We also surprised the children with a very special visit from Mrs Sorensen and Lily.
As the children move to the Upper School, we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them for the progress they have made during their time at the Lower School. They are a wonderful year group who have a very bright future and we look forward to following their journey. We hope that they hold on to their ambitions for the future and keep striving to achieve them.
