This week I have seen lots of lovely examples of children’s writing. Children have really been using their phonics, spelling and grammar knowledge to ensure they are creating clear and concise sentences that make sense. Building from these foundations, children have then demonstrated their creativity and imaginative writing skills. It was particularly lovely to see children in years 2 and 3 redrafting working and making ‘best copies’, ensuring that they included all their editing and improvements. Year 2 then published their own story books and Year 3 created an eye-catching poetry display for the school library area.
There was also a lovely range of excellent handwriting across the classes I visited this week-keep up the good work everyone!
