Our Year 1 classes had a fantastic day on Monday, learning all about toys from the past. Mrs Jenkins hosted an interactive workshop, during which she gave us lots of facts about the types of toys found in the past and the materials they were made of. Children were able to make links with their current scientific topic ‘Materials’ and to compare old toys with new toys. They loved exploring these precious toys and finding out how to play with them.
Next week, we will consolidate this new learning by writing a fact file about all the amazing facts about the historical toys Mrs Jenkins shared with us.
