We have been learning about the Italian artist, Guiseppe Arcimboldo, who created portraits using natural materials such as fruits, vegetables, leaves and foliage. We looked at his ‘Seasons’ collection and considered what we could see, what we liked, what we disliked and what questions we had about the art. Then, feeling inspired, we collected autumnal treasures on our recent trip to the park and used them to create our own natural material portraits. Please enjoy these pictures of their creations!
