News Year 1

This week all of the children at Whitehorse Infants proudly sang their hearts out in their Christmas Concerts.

On Tuesday, we had another very successful parent coffee morning.  This time we invited Barbara Allen from our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to come in and explain to our parents/carers what support they offer. 

Shooting Stars and Astronauts were lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit The Science Museum in London. 

Last week on ‘No Pens Day’, Year 1 were busy making their own moon buggies in DT.

At Beulah Infants, reading is always a top priority both in school and at home!

This week, we have had our ‘Road Safety Week’ at Beulah.

Ecclesbourne had the amazing opportunity to meet the author Banji Alexander. 

What a busy start to the term!   In Gold class, we are learning all about colours.

Year 2 have been learning about the Tudors and Henry VIII.

We have had a very empowering week this week because we have taken part in the Anti-Bullying week which has included celebrating ‘friendship’.

Following a minute’s silence at 11.00am today, we gathered for our Remembrance Assembly. 

Over the past week, children at Beulah have been learning about the Hindu festival, Diwali.

Michael Rosen is our favourite author for this half term.  He is a well-known children’s novelist and poet and has written over one hundred and forty books!   

Across the school we have been celebrating Black History Month by recognising and celebrating the lives and achievements of people of African, Caribbean and Asian heritage.
