Yesterday, over 50 of our Year 1-4 children competed at the Croydon schools cross country event. Despite being a wet and windy day, the children did us incredibly proud through their sportsmanship, resilience and running skills. Their team spirit was particularly evident with enthusiastic cheering, reassurance and celebration of each other. Year 1 and 2 children had to run 1000m and Year 3 and 4 children 1400m so it was an impressive performance of their skill and stamina.
We had 5 children with top 10 finishes including 3 medals awarded so special congratulations to Zac (1st Y2 boys), Michael (2nd Y2 boys), Grace (3rd Y4 girls), Charlie (5th Y1 boys) and Woody (6th Y2 boys). Well done also to all those children who achieved personal targets through the race. A huge thank you everyone who represented our school at the event and thank you to the parents/carers who helped support.
