Before Christmas, we set the children a challenge to photograph themselves reading a wintery tale in their winter clothes. It was amazing to see how creative the children were with their chosen reading locations, texts and winter clothes! All entries received a book in recognition of the extraordinary lengths they went to to show us their reading at home. With the help of the school council, seven stand out entries were selected to receive a special book gift set. A huge well done and thank you to all who entered.
Our next competition is to write a spring themed poem and to try and make it humorous. Entries need to be submitted no later than Monday 19th February to your child’s class teacher. Winners from this competition will be entered into an inter school competition across our Trust where they will need to be able to perform their poem in front of an audience in the junior school! We look forward to reading your poems.
