Whilst there was much excitement this morning when the children arrived to see the snow-clad field, there was also disappointment for the choir when it became clear that the treacherous conditions outside, and the knock on effect of these on the bus service, would mean their planned visit to the Whitgift Centre to sing carols could not go ahead. Worry not! Although the morning was still too bracing for an outside performance, the choir set up in the front entrance to entertain 6M (who were due to have their music lesson with Mrs E) and Mr Roberts (who made a surprise visit to help with making the Whitehorse site ‘snow safe’) with carol favourites such as ‘Oh Christmas Tree’ and ‘Silver Bells’. As ever, they sounded beautiful and we look forward to hearing more of their dulcet tones throughout the year.
