This is our second week of immersing ourselves in the story of The Gingerbread Man. We have had great fun acting out the story during our carpet sessions, pretending to be the different animals from the story. We especially liked making our own gingerbread men and bringing them home on Friday! The children were told to make sure he didn’t escape and run away on their journey home!
In maths we have been learning about short and long and this was linked to the story ‘The Enormous Turnip.’ We have been drawing short and long lines, identifying short and long snakes and made short and long traffic jams!
In phonics, our sound of the week was ‘d’ and our nursery rhyme was ‘Pat a cake, Pat a cake’, hopefully some of you have been lucky enough to hear your child singing this at home!
