On Tuesday, we took part in Odd Socks day as part of our Friendship week celebrations. Throughout the day, classes took part in a special circle time where they thought about the importance of celebrating our differences. Children got the opportunity to show each other their odd socks and talk about what makes each and everyone of us different and unique. It was heart warming to hear the children talk proudly about what makes them unique. The children learnt that being different allows them to explore new things, get out of their comfort zones and develop their self-confidence. As Oscar Wilde once said ‘Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.’
