This week, the year 3 children from Whitehorse Manor Junior and Brigstock site went on a trip to Crystal Palace park. We were very lucky with the weather because the rain, that we have had so much of lately, decided to stay away. The children had a wonderful time using their imaging skills to help them understand how vast the Crystal Palace was before it burnt down. They also enjoyed using their noticing skills to study the sphinxes and the Waterhouse Hawkins dinosaurs. After a lovely picnic lunch, the children visited the beautiful Victorian building which is Crystal Palace train station and said hello to the statue of Joseph Paxton, the designer of the Crystal Palace. What a fantastic day out!
