Atwood Early Years News – Owls, buses and Diwali
What a busy couple of weeks it has been for the youngest members of the school since coming back after half term.
We are looking to appoint newly qualified and experienced teachers across The Pegasus Academy Trust.

Ecclesbourne’s fantastic start to the netball season continued with a stunning 5-3 win for the A team.
Ecclesbourne began their netball season with a pair of stunning victories.
At Ecclesbourne today, we are kicking off our Friendship Week by celebrating Odd Socks Day in support of the Anti-Bullying Alliance.
On Friday 10th November, Ecclesbourne’s house captains were invited to represent our school at Whitehorse Manor Junior School’s Remembrance service.

We held our Remembrance Day service at WHJUN today in front of our school.
This week reception have been learning about Remembrance Day. We had a class discussion about why we celebrate Remembrance day and what it means.
Year 2 have been learning all about the Tudors and Henry VIII.
This morning at the Upper School, the House Captains delivered a very emotive and personal assembly.
This week we have been learning about Armistice Day and Remembrance in our school.
As you can imagine, it has been a very busy week at Atwood in light of our Ofsted inspection.

We have had an lovely first two weeks back at nursery, the children have settled back in well after their first half term break.
Yesterday, over 50 of our Year 1-4 children competed at the Croydon schools cross country event.
