Poet kicks off Book Week celebrations with a bang

This week Year 3 had the opportunity to visit Sanderstead Library, where they met the Librarian who shared with them various types of texts about the Stone Age (our new theme).
It has been a fantastic first week back and the children have all settled back into school and their learning well.
Wellbeing Ambassadors are back in Atwood after the break of not having ambassadors for the previous year.
A great first week back and after a very wet week it was finally nice to see some spring sunshine today.
This week, Year 2 at Cypress Primary visited London and walked a grand total of 13,000 steps!

In Reception this week, we have started our new topic “To the rescue!”
It was lovely to see so many parents attend the reading for pleasure workshop and ‘read with your child’ session.
In reception our topic this half term is ‘People Who Help Us’ and this week, reception got the exciting opportunity to have a visit from the local fire brigade!
The School Council is the voice of the children at Whitehorse Manor Infant School.
On Museum day, KS1 had a brilliant time sharing the abundance of knowledge which they have learnt during their thematic learning.
This week has been a very busy week celebrating amazing achievements over this half term!
As many of you will know, at Pegasus we organise the teaching of history, geography, DT and art within themes under the umbrella term of the ‘Thematic Curriculum’.
Red and Yellow class had a very exciting morning because their families came into their ‘Monster’ Museum.
