This week we have been thinking about distilling – sifting through information and taking the most useful, ‘golden nuggets’ from information we are given.
Welcome back! I hope that you are all feeling rested and refreshed after the Easter break.
This week we welcomed back Reception and jumped straight into our new topic ‘Once upon a time’.
Reception came back to a very eventful first week of the summer term.
Nursery has had a lovely first week back. We have been learning all about travel, which has encouraged some great conversations about what sort of transport we’ve been on and where we have gone.
At the end of the spring term children were invited to take part in a competition to celebrate the launch of the Figures of Black British Society (FOBBS) app.
It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of another term.
As the term draws to a close, I would like to wish you all a restful break.
Spring Festivals We have been learning about different Spring Festivals and traditions this week, including the Hindu Festival of Holi, Ramadan and Eid for Muslims and Easter for Christians.
There has been a lot of Easter fun going on in the Early Years at Atwood.
This week we held our annual Easter egg raffle and it was a huge success!
EPS Staff beat our children’s netball teams in a pair of tightly fought battles.
EPS’s Meteors class put on a stunning assembly telling us all about the Stone Age.
Year 2 had a great time yesterday morning, taking part in a fun relay event.
