Reception treated us to the most amazing two performances of: ‘It’s a Wriggly Nativity’ on Tuesday and Thursday mornings this week.
To start this week’s learning about the Nativity, the Reception children went on their first trip out and visited Sanderstead Methodist Church.
Our wonderful kitchen staff prepared a delicious feast for all of the children and staff today.
Christmas Fun in Rainbows and Nursery What busy bees we have been in Little Cypress!
Over the last few weeks, our children have been working very hard to prepare for their Christmas performances.
It is starting to look a lot like Christmas in the Early Years, especially as a lot of the crafts made at Christmas Making day are hanging up in all of the classrooms.
In Gold class, we have been learning all about colours. We have looked at and talked about the colours in the rainbow and investigated the colours of different objects.
A huge well done to all of the reception classes as they did a fantastic job performing for their grown-ups and loved ones at their Christmas concert.
Jack Frost visits Cypress! Jack Frost paid us a visit this week!
Road Safety Week We have been focusing on Road Safety this week at Cypress and the children have enjoyed learning more about keeping safe on our roads.
What an amazing world we live in. The children in Early Years have been outside enjoying the changing weather, and appreciating the last bit of sun for the year.
Our Trust Staff Meeting at Cypress on Handwriting in the Early Years, for our Early Years and Year 1 practitioners, was a fantastic opportunity for the adults to have some fun, as well as learning some important pedagogy and practical ideas to teach this crucial life skill.
Friendship Week We have had a thoughtful and friendly time in Little Cypress, as it has been Friendship Week.
On Monday, we introduced our Anti-Bulling / Friendship Week by wearing odd socks to school and sharing what it means to be a good friend in our whole school assembly.
This week at WHINF we have been celebrating friendship week. We began by wearing odd socks to celebrate our uniqueness.
