Welcome Back!
How lovely it was to welcome the children back on Monday for the second half of our Spring Term! The weather has, as always, been a mixed bag and we have seen torrential rain, grey clouds, blue skies and sunshine, all in the same week. We have been very active, whatever the weather, with our Daily Mile and trips to the Adventure Playground.
With some glimpses of sunshine at last and with the days getting longer, we have been doing some repeated pattern printing using kitchen utensils in Spring-like pastel colours,
Patterns and puzzles…
We have been very mathematical this week, enjoying making patterns with Multilink, Unifix, wooden magnetic blocks and working out our new puzzles. It has been heart warming to see the children working together to solve problems and to share the resources. At such a young age, this takes time and the children are learning to use kind hands and kind words, as well as working together as a team to get things done.
Reading Tent
We are looking forward to Book Week next week and have got a new Reading Tent in our book corner. It was a source of great excitement and we had a queue of avid readers wanting to test it out, complete with cushions and a wide range of books to browse!
Rainbow Certificates
Many congratulations to the recipients of our Rainbow Certificates this week. In Nursery, Nova and Leo and in Rainbows, Anais and Kiaan. We are so proud of you all!
Wishing you all a very happy and relaxing weekend.
