The Christmas celebrations and festivities have been building this week in Little Cypress! We had two brilliant performances of our Christmas Singing Shows to our parents, carers and other relatives. We did fantastically well and remembered the words and the actions of the various songs amazingly. Even our very youngest children performed with gusto and confidence, despite Bella telling us she would be: “…very tired after all this singing!” A couple of our mince pies got stage fright but composed themselves for the matinee performance!
There have been plenty of Christmas activities going on this week, including creating our Christmas cards, which will remain a surprise until they are given out next week and decorating our own mini Christmas trees with tinsel and baubles!
Friday brought a particularly happy surprise, when Father Christmas came to pay us a visit in Rainbows and Nursery, with one of his elves! We must have all been so good this year, as Santa brought us four presents to share as a class, including puzzles and a doctor’s bag. We sang ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘When Santa got Stuck up the Chimney’ to Father Christmas, which he seemed to enjoy.
Next week Nursery are looking forward to visiting St John’s Church on Monday afternoon and having our Little Cypress (Rainbows and Nursery) party on Wednesday morning.
Have a lovely weekend!
