Sun’s out!
What a change in the weather we have experienced this week! The sun has appeared and we have made the most of our wonderful outside areas, including the field, Adventure Playground, Forest School and our own playground and patios.
Oliver’s Vegetables
We have been listening to and talking about the story: ‘Oliver’s Vegetables’ by Vivian French and Alison Bartlett. We thought of all the different vegetables we know about and created quite a long list including radishes, purple sprouting broccoli, sweet potatoes and onions, as well as remembering all the vegetables from the story.
Growing, growing….
We are watching our pea plants closely and are so excited that most of them are growing really well! We have to remember to water them and give them lots of sunlight to give them the best chance of growing well. Our Cress Mountain has been re-purposed as a grassy landscape for our dinosaurs and we had a lot of fun on Friday getting muddy whilst playing with it outside!
Makaton Sign of the Week
As usual, we have learned at new Makaton sign this week. This week’s sign is ‘nurse’. Click here to see how to sign the word ‘nurse’.
Count on me!
We have shown a huge interest in counting this week and have been thinking carefully about how best to count objects with accuracy. We learned that if you touch each object as you count, you can keep track of how many there are, more easily!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend in the sunshine!
