Back to Basics
We have been thinking carefully about how we behave in Nursery and Rainbows. We did a mind map of all the things we are trying to remember:
“We read books in the book corner.” – Darcey
“We walk in Nursery (we don’t run).” Blake
“We hang our coats on the pegs.” Ray
“We use quiet voices in Nursery.” Eira
“We have kind hands with our friends.” Lyra
“We share the toys.” Laolu
“We tidy up the things that have dropped on the floor.” Arthur
All fantastic things to remember; well done! The staff are looking carefully to ‘catch’ children making good choices and we have been so proud to give some of these children Rainbow Certificates.
Makaton Sign of the Week
As usual, we have learned a new Makaton sign this week. It is a fantastic one considering it was Lunar New Year this week: moon.

Budding Writers
We have been thinking carefully about why we write things down. We have been practising our emergent writing so fantastically this week! We have signed our names up under which artist’s painting we preferred and we wrote a Happy Birthday card to Alfie, who has been in hospital recently and we all miss him! One of the children decided we should have a party when Alfie comes out of hospital to celebrate him being better and because he is turning 4! We made amazing lists for what we would need for the party and the adults in Nursery were blown away with the fabulous writing that ensued.
We have been busy bees, making Valentine’s Day presents and cards and continuing to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake.
We hope you all have a great weekend!
